On Facebook, you could get a request from a real friend asking you to join a worthy cause that they know you are interested in so thinking it is legitimate because it from your friend, you click on it. What you do not know is that there is a possibility that your friend’s Facebook, MySpace, or Twitter account was hacked into and all their friend’s email addresses were stolen and it is the thief sending out these bogus emails, or phishing. By the time this is all said and done, the identity thief has many people’s personal information.</description>
